The Types of Click Beetles Described by Otto Schwarz from Mexico, Guatemala and Panama (Coleoptera: Elateridae)

The type specimens of Elateridae described by Otto Schwarz from Mesoamerica are redescribed, reassessed and lectotypes designated. Acanthathous championi (Schwarz), Smiliceroides quadrilineatus Anoplischiopsis divisus Schwarz, Anoplischius dorsalis Atractosomus nigerrimus Anchastomorphus minutus retained in their current status. Monocrepidius restinctus is reduced to synonymy under rugicollis Champion. Aeolus mediofasciatus transferred Eschscholtz. Tomicephalus bilineatus Anchastus LeConte, renamed lapsus Fuller, seminiger Crepidius blepharipes restricted the lectotype its status; other syntypes unidentified species Dipropus Germar. tenuistriatus Champion; one syntype an New country records documented for A. dorsalis, (Guatemala), (United States).
